For my internship, I was given the responsibility of leading the development of a web-based training module for Del Monte Foods regarding the plants Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s) and Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP). I was provided with two Graduate Assistants to aid in the development of the project. With their hard work and persistence, the project was developed in 8 weeks, mid February to early April, and ended up being completed 8 weeks ahead of the final deadline date. The experience of project managing on a larger scale was incredible and being able to apply the skills I had acquired throughout my Instructional Design and programming courses allowed the project to run as smooth as it did. The final module was developed in Articulate Studio ’09 and included a learning strategy of using a character to assist the learner’s in retaining the information, a custom articulate skin, and an automatic e-mail submission upon completion of the training to gather important data.
