Starting out as a Graduate Assistant project, I was asked to develop a “Virtual Center of Excellence” for the BU Toy Library. The BU Toy Library is the first-of-its-kind play and literacy resource center in Central Pennsylvania. The BU Toy Library serves professionals and paraprofessionals within our community as well as BU faculty, staff and students who are engaged in activities such as, but not limited to:

• volunteer work
• service learning
• internship and practicum
• teaching
• clinical work

My responsibilities include:

• Updating the BU Toy Library pages within Bloomsburg University’s Drupal website
• (Still in Development) Developing six (6) Literacy Play Tutorials to help students, teachers, and parents to gain a better understanding of each type of literacy play. The tutorials were developed in Articulate and included a custom:
  • Articulate Player Skin
  • Printable Certificate upon Completion
  • Automatic Submission Form to send a wide range of pertinent data to evaluate the effectiveness of each tutorial
